On Monday, April 29, we had the pleasure to host Prof. John Antonakis at the Chair of Research and Science Management. On the occasion, he presented his research on the economic benefits of charisma at the faculty research seminar of TUM School of Management. John Antonakis is professor of organizational behavior at University of Lausanne, director of the PhD-program in Management and Economics of the University of Lausanne, and editor-in-chief of The Leadership Quarterly.
His talk carried the title “Just Words? Just Speeches? On The Economic Value of Charismatic Leadership” and was met with great interest by an audience of scholars from several departments of TUM School of Management. During the day several members of the team of Prof. Dr. Claudia Peus had the opportunity to meet with John Antonakis individually to discuss their research. The exchange about research topics and the feedback regarding individual research projects were greatly appreciated.
We would like to thank John Antonakis for visiting and look forward to continuing the exchange with him and his group at conferences and workshops in the future.
