Teamwork and Leadership in the Digital Age

“Teamwork is the ability to work together toward a common vision. The ability to direct individual accomplishments toward organizational objectives. It is the fuel that allows common people to attain uncommon results."
Andrew Carnegie

Changes due to digitization and technological progress shape the way we collaborate, communicate and perform within the organizational setting. In this research area, our goal is to better understand what it means to be a team member and a leader in the digital age. Specifically, we focus on how individuals, teams, leaders, and organizations can adapt to the continuous changing work conditions and remain successful. We explore and identify psychological and organizational mechanisms that support adaptive capacity, effectiveness and innovation. Combining various research methods, such as qualitative interviews, quantitative field surveys, and experiments, we investigate the topics that are essential for individual and organizational success of large corporates, new ventures, and academic institutions.
