Leidy Cubillos-Pinilla joined the team in 2018. She works as a research associate and PostDoc at the TUM Neurophysiological Leadership Lab (TUM NeLeLab). Her current research involves (a) the impact of leadership language on followers’ cognitive and emotional processes (e.g., online studies with computerized tasks and questionnaires), (b) the neuroscience of entrepreneurship (e.g., psychophysical, electrophysiological and eye-tracking basis at rest and during computerized tasks in individuals interested in entrepreneurship), (c) hormones and leadership, (d) psychophysical, electrophysiological and eye-tracking basis of cognitive effort during decision-making tasks, (e) general social neuroscience, creativity and innovation, Artificial Intelligence, and big data statistics. Her preference of methods include R, MatLab, Qualtrics, SPSS statistics, PsychoPy, Brain Products, and E-prime.

She holds a diploma’s degree in Psychology with a Minor in Biology from the University of Los Andes, Colombia. After completing her studies, she joined Mercados Zapatoca S.A, a leading chain of supermarkets in Colombia, and worked as the Head of Recruitment and Development HR. She completed her master’s degree of Neuro-Cognitive Psychology at Ludwig-Maximilians Universität, München and she has worked in several neuroscience laboratories. She finished her PhD studies at our chair.
