We are delighted to announce that the Research Lab Learning Leadership and Innovation presented its inspiring work at the 12th AOW-Conference, "Sustainable interaction with people and technology", at the TU Chemnitz. The conference took place from the 22nd to 24th of September 2021, with 574 participants.
Selina Stracke and Dr. Eleni Georganta presented their work on “Experiencing Competence through Flexible Work: How Flex-Work Prevents Knowledge Hiding” during a live symposium. Their findings showed that having flexibility at work, both in terms of time and location, can lead to fulfilling one’s need for competence, thereby resulting in less knowledge hiding. Their work has important implications for future research and practice, showing the impact of new ways of teamwork while considering the employee’s individual needs.
In addition, Dr. Eleni Georganta shared her insights about “Bonding with Artificial Intelligence: Exploring Trust in Human-Agent Teams” in close collaboration with Dr. Anna-Sophie Ulfert (Eindhoven University of Technology). Results from two experimental studies showed that affective team trust can differ between human-human and human-agent teams; however, not always as expected. Results imply that interacting with an AI teammate can have a positive impact on trust perceptions.
We are very pleased and proud to actively represent TUM at such an inspiring event!
