Farewell and Thank You!

Dr. Franziska Emmerling Takes on New Challenges

After six impactful years, it is with a heavy heart that we have to say goodbye to our valued colleague Dr. Franziska Emmerling, who has left our chair in January 2023 to pursue new opportunities.

Franzi was a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions post-doctoral fellow at the Chair of Research and Science Management. She was also the Head of the TUM Neurophysiological Leadership Lab (TUM NeLeLab), which is supported by the TUM Agenda 2030 and aims to advance the empirical evaluation of leadership by implementing an interdisciplinary approach focusing on the basic pillars of human cognition and psychophysiology. Her research focused on unravelling the multi-facetted mechanisms underlying destructive leadership on the behavioral, cognitive, and biophysiological level. As a member of our team, she supervised and mentored multiple PhD candidates, was heavily involved in student, PhD, and executive teaching, and played a vital role in the chair's day-to-day operations.

Dear Franzi, we are deeply grateful for your outstanding contributions and commitment to our chair and wish you nothing but the best for your future!
