The Final Thesis Symposium of the Chair of Research and Science Management took place this summer semester on 21 July. Here, final thesis students came together to present the status of their research projects as part of the traditional poster session. After the students presented short impulses on their posters, they had the opportunity to convince the audience of the exciting implications of their theses. In addition, they were able to gather valuable suggestions for further steps.
This semester's Best Poster Award was given to master's student Cevahir Dilara Kurtulmuş.
The goal of her thesis is to explore the impact of AI on leaders' ethical decision-making and employees’ perceptions of AI in modern organizations. Based on semi-structured interviews conducted with both leaders and employees, the research revealed different leader typologies of approaches to AI and showed that AI does not yet play a definitive role in decision-making processes. Especially due to ongoing ethical concerns. Working with her supervisor, Clarissa Zwarg, her study contributes to the emerging conversation around the ethical use of AI in modern organizations.
The chair team congratulates Cevahir Dilara Kurtulmuş on the Best Poster Award and thanks all participants!
