The 84th Annual Meeting of the Academy of Management (AOM) took place in Chicago, Illinois, between 9 August and 13 August. Notable for being the world’s leading event for scholarly engagement in management and organization, the conference attracts attendees worldwide. It featured 2000+ in-person sessions spanning AOM's 26 disciplinary divisions and interest groups. The Annual Meeting aims at fostering research, networking, and knowledge dissemination among academics, students, and practitioners. The conference's rich program and online platforms facilitated discussions on pressing challenges in the 21st century's management and organizational fields.
Anely Bekbergenova and Clarissa Zwarg represented the Chair of Research and Science Management at this year's conference.
Anely presented her paper "Charisma in Entrepreneurial Pitching: An Experimental approach" at a session in the entrepreneurship division.
Together with Armin Pircher Verdorfer (also in the picture), Martin Fladerer, and Claudia Peus, Clarissa organized a symposium. As part of that, she presented the paper “Navigating Ethics: A Sensemaking Approach to Moral Development in Early Career Stages”.
