Final Thesis Symposium 2026
The Final Thesis Symposium of the Chair of Research and Science Management took place this winter semester on 19 January. Here, final thesis students came together for a poster session to present the status of their research projects. After the students gave short impulses on their posters, they had the opportunity to convince the audience of the exciting implications of their theses. In addition, they were able to gather valuable suggestions for the next steps.
This semester's Best Poster Award was given to master's student Theresa Hoffmann.
The aim of her thesis is to examine whether leaders are evaluated differently for unethical pro-organizational behavior (UPB) depending on their gender. Using an experimental vignette design, her study investigates how female and male leaders who engage in the same behavior are perceived in terms of trustworthiness, promotability, and recommended punishment. Gender differences were found only for a medium level of punishment, with greater agreement that male leaders should receive such punishment. Working with her supervisor, Dr. Martin Fladerer, her study contributes to the discourse on gender bias in moral evaluations of unethical behavior in organizational contexts.
The chair team congratulates Theresa Hoffmann on the Best Poster Award and thanks all participants!
