Johannes Owsianowski has been a research associate at the Chair of Economics of Horticulture and Landscaping at the Technical University of Munich since October 2023. His research focuses on blockchain technology applied to supply chains in agriculture and food production. Previously, he held various professional positions in Germany and abroad.

Johannes Owsianowski earned a master's degree in supply chain management from Panthéon-Assas University, Paris II, France in 2005 and a second master's degree from TU Kaiserslautern in "Sustainable Development Cooperation" in 2017. In January 2025, he completed his dissertation on the possible applications of blockchain technology in fair trade at Panthéon-Assas University, Paris II, France.
