Objectives
In addition to individual supervision by your supervisor, we also offer students the opportunity to participate in our thesis colloquium. During the lecture periods, every two weeks two students present their thesis project to our department. This gives students the opportunity to receive feedback from the chair as well as peer feedback and questions from other students. Students who join at an early stage of their project also have the opportunity to learn from other projects and adopt best practices.
Description
During their work on their final thesis project, students should give one colloquium talk. The talk should take about 20 minutes, followed by a colloquium discussion (ca. 10 min.), where the audience has the chance to ask questions. Talks can be given at any stage of the project (e.g., prior data collection, upon prelimary results) and should cover central aspects of the project (usually backround, research question, methods, and if applicable, results and conclusions).
Anmeldung zum Kolloquium via TUMonline
Studierende, die eine Abschlussarbeit am Lehrstuhl für Behavioral Research Methods schreiben, werden gebeten, sich via TUMonline für das Kolloquium einzuschreiben. So können wir Sie über anstehende Kolloquiumstermine und -Vorträge oder etwaige Änderungen leicht per E-Mail benachrichtigen informieren.
Die Teilnahme am Kolloquium ist nicht verpflichtend, wird jedoch allen Studierenden, die eine Abschlussarbeit am Lehrstuhl für Behavioral Research Methods schreiben, ausdrücklich empfohlen. Die Vergabe von ECTS Punkten für eine Teilnahme am Kolloquium ist bis auf weiteres nicht vorgesehen.
